1987 Dodge Dakota Tuff Truck
|
This has been a fun truck so far just the way it sits. Jason Farda bought the truck as a 2wd class tuff truck build for the summer of 2012. it has been seen in a few videos ripping around the rallycross course, until one sad November day when the truck started to overheat and blew a head gasket, got water in the pistons, and ruined the cylinder heads. So, this $500 Dakota is turning out to be a bit more than we originally wanted, but Farda is determined to go through and pull the head, do some machining, and we'll hopefully see it at Lebanon in 2012.

1992 Toyota Pickup (TSD Rally) |
This truck is Ryan's daily driver/all around work and play fun hog. This 1992 was bought in New York city in 2008, and rebuilt. The truck is still pretty much stock, the only small changes are upgraded shocks by Rancho and Hankook Winter I Pike tires. The bumbers are all redone and the Hella light bar works well for night rallies. So, al in all, not much has beeen done to help the off-road ability of this truck. But it is an old Toyota, so what else really needs to be done. It still get Ryan down the highway, down the dirt stages, and over rock ledges... and the best part!... It still gets 25mpg!

1994 Nissan Sentra |
The beginning of October 2011 marked a new chapter in the history of the Flerpi... he bought his first car. This '94 Sentra is stock as a rock, and that's the point. He bought it for $300 dollars, fixed some few monor problems, and learned how to 'really' drive! This car was the first car that we were able to test on Hell Hollow Rd. The engine and transmission are in great shape, and the suspension is surprisingly stiff... so it makes of a perfect rallycross/stage car. Right now it spends lots of time sideways at the Farda Compound Rallycross course, but may venture it's way to a few rallycross events in the near future.

1975 Chevy Monte Carlo |
We picked up Colin's new and slightly used Chevy Monte Carlo back in May 2011 in Long island, NY. The car had previously run Enduro for the past eight years having a full cage and welded differential. The team bought the car and rebuilt the front suspension and painted 69 on it and it was ready to run Grandview Speedway in July. The car seemed like it was going to have a long life on the team, however after 30 laps at Grandview, Colin got into another car and met a cement wall... The frame bent and the question now is whether or not to spend the money to continue or move on to something else.
Unfortunately the decision was made to move on, Colin tried to sell the car to a fellow racer before leaving for Georgia but was forced to scrap it before he left. Specs: Engine - Chevy 350 Trans - 3 spd. Auto Drive - RWD |
1987 Ford Ranger STX Tuff Truck |
Built in 2010 by the Hell Hollow Rally Team, the Ranger was originally planned to be a daily driver project... until it blew a head gasket and Ryan decided to beat the piss out of it in tough truck events. The truck entered two events in 2010, but only got to run one because of missing tech inspection at Buck County Motorsports Park in July. Plans for next year include a 4.0L swap out of a '97
Ford Ranger, re-worked roll cage and dash, and a stiffer front suspension. Time to move on to better things, the last few months of Summer 2011 were spent preparing the ranger for its (almost) new Ford 4.0 V6 but the truck and its donor are bound for the scrap yard. Ryan will be saving his money to buy a rallycross car, possibly returning to Tough Tucks one day with a more desirable 2WD Toyota. Specs: Engine - 2.9L Cosworth V-6 Trans - 5 spd. Manual Drive - 4WD |
2004 Chevy Malibu |
Colin Page drives this car to the limit. This completely stock Chevy Malibu is a legend with the team. After driving highways for over 280,000 miles, Colin took over the car and show people what he and this car could do. The car is a straight four automatic (Colin always talks about doing a Pontiac G6 5pd manual transmission swap... probably won't happen, but it would be cool!). The car saw its first competition in 2010 during the Hell Hollow Rally Cross. Colin won eight out of the eleven stages in the car and took the event overall. The car handles everything thrown at it including grueling laps at the Farda Compound and massive cul-de-sac jumps.
Like all good things, the Ralibu came to an end after jumping 32 feet onto asphalt. After that the team just couldn't get the tired girl going again. Colin had to say goodbye and scrap the car. He then picked up a 1975 Monte Carlo to compete in Enduro races. The cooler shot of it will come back on the website when I find it...
